Unit owners are generally responsible for repairing issues inside their residence, including securing their own outside service technicians. However, If repairs in the common areas or the exterior of the building are identified, an official notification process must be followed by submitting a Maintenance Work Order request.
Putting your request in writing ensures that all such request are taken care of expeditiously, either according to the severity of the problem or in the order received. And most important, a formal, dated communication serves as proof the problem has been recorded and a time line has been initiated.
